How to wash your Sheep Throw without destroying it

Simple steps to wash a Sheep Throw

We all know that washing a sheep-throw can be a risky and not so easy job for us to do. Here are some easy steps to wash your sheep throw without the hassle of needing to go buy new one.

The one thing that my Dad would always instill on us is have quality products just make sure you know how to take care of them. A genuine Sheep Throw functions in the same way, it's beautiful high quality product but you need to maintain it well - with that takes time and some care.

Hand Washing is your best bet.

Hand washing is always the safest bet—you can throw your genuine sheep rug in a bathtub with running cold water. You will need to first soak it then add your cleaning detergent (note: to only use wool detergent that is ok with leather products! This one I found to be a pretty good detergent)

Air dry your sheep rug not in direct sunlight.

Placing your sheep throw in direct sunlight will cause the leather to become stiff and hard. Lay it flat on the ground sheep fur facing up.

Shake and Brush!

Finally once dried. Shake the sheep fur and run a wire brush through. This will revive your sheep throw and have it become plush once again!
